I had a little meltdown last night.
Everyone knows the saying “It’s lonely at the top.” I don’t consider myself able to judge. But what I can say is that starting a company can be lonely. So if you consider a multinational company of 10,000+ employees as “the top”, I suppose a little startup is considered “the bottom”. And let me tell you, it can get pretty lonely at the bottom. I suppose I can only speak for myself because I can imagine that some people love to work alone and I agree, working independently is fabulous, but I really miss working in a team of people whom I don’t just communicate with via e-mail or skype.
I miss seeing faces, hearing voices.
Still, I really can’t complain because – thanks to Michael – I get plenty of hugs each day to make me feel a little better again.
