8:45 AM: Today’s working spot with a view!
Mikey hasn’t been feeling too sharp over the last few days so we’ve been taking it easy with sports and sightseeing. Plus, I’ve decided to use the time he needs to recover to work a little and found myself the perfect spot: the balcony!!! Also, what I especially love about being in Australia is the sunlight. It’s bright really early on in the day and gets dark really early too. Truly, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a place where you see as many people jogging at 5AM as you do at 5PM but I love it because you find yourself up and about from the time the sun is up until it gets dark and then still have loads of time to relax and read a good book (I’m almost done with “The Shack”) before cooking a yummy dinner or BBQing and then going to bed.
By the way, we just booked a hotel from Monday to Wednesday next week, so we can stay in Brisbane and explore the city – I’m super excited and can’t wait to share more pics and experiences with you!
