I’ve been working on a project for weeks. And although I was meant to receive its final approval yesterday, I’m still waiting to find out whether everything is approved or whether I have to negotiate with an external agency tomorrow on what changes we can still make (since the final deadline for making changes was today)…
I’m sure you know the feeling of waiting for an important decision to be made. But I just realized something: Challenges like these make us grow, they make us stronger. Quite frankly, no matter what happens – in this case whether I receive the green light I’ve been hoping for or not – I’ve already learned an important lesson (=getting approvals takes more time than you think, therefore always make sure to include decision-makers from the start) and may end up improving my negotiation skills!
